The Daily Express today reports the EU Referendum Bill will be fast-tracked through Parliament, following yesterday’s Queen’s Speech:
In a historic announcement, the Queen’s Speech confirmed that legislation to trigger an in-or-out EU referendum will be introduced into Parliament within days:
“And the Prime Minister told MPs the measure could be rushed through after Labour caved in and agreed to back the poll.
“Downing Street officials revealed last night that the question to be put to voters will be: “Should the United Kingdom remain a member of the European Union?”
“Cameron will hold talks with Dutch Prime Minister Mark Rutte at The Hague today before meeting French President Francois Hollande in Paris.”
Our campaign is quoted in the hard edition of today’s Daily Express (see page 4):
“Our time has now come. The Queen’s Speech is a milestone for the campaign to Get Britain Out of the EU.
“Despite Labour’s and Liberal Democrat’s past attempts to sabotage this referendum, the will of the British public has finally prevailed.
“Those scaremongers who repeatedly denied the British public their democratic right, can now chew on their failure.
“The mood is clearly shifting across Britain. The will of the electorate can no longer be ignored.”
